MISSION

Bridgewood Worship is on a mission to elevate Jesus – a mission which provides clarity to our identity, purpose, and values. It defines who we are and what we're about.

Our commitment to the mission is paramount to our effectiveness and manifests itself in the following ways (attached to each core value is a question designed to hold us accountable to our mission)

"We are a team..."

  • Committed to SERVING.

    • "How can I help you?"

  • Committed to HUMILITY.

    • "How can I demonstrate your value?"

"...whose purpose is to elevate Jesus in our life..."

  • Committed to ABIDING.

    • "What fruit am I producing?"

  • Committed to OBEDIENCE.

    • "How am I putting my faith into action?"

"...in our craft..."

  • Committed to EXCELLENCE.

    • "Is this my best?"

  • Committed to DEVELOPMENT.

    • "How can I do this better?"

"...and in our community."

  • Committed to UNITY.

    • "Am I an island?"

  • Committed to WITNESS.

    • "How am I investing in my community?"

STANDARDS

We understand that it's a privilege to serve using the gifts and tools our Creator has given us to elevate Him, never taking our opportunities and responsibilities lightly.

But we're more than just musicians and technicians – we're leaders. As such, our entire team is expected to adhere to the following set of standards, in addition to meeting the basic criteria required for involvement:

  • CHARACTER

    • Cultivate personal spiritual disciplines and a lifestyle of worship.

    • Live above reproach in every area of life (home, work, school, social media, etc.).

    • Submit authentically to accountability in community (LIFEgroups, Team Bridgewood, etc.).

  • COMPETENCE

    • Exhibit skill, knowledge, and passion in your craft.

    • Utilize the technology required and resources offered to help you operate at your best.

    • Communicate appropriately with your leaders and teammates.

  • COMMITMENT

    • Support the vision and leadership of Bridgewood Church.

    • Practice (on your own time) and be prepared and punctual for rehearsals (on Thursdays from 7:00-8:30pm) and sound checks (1-2 hours before service).

    • Prioritize and participate in Team Nights (typically the third Thursday of the month).
