He’s Looking For You
“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
-2 Chronicles 16:9 NLT
I am certain that I was looking forward to the school year ending as much or more than my son. The thought of summer meant a time of refreshing for both of us, but if I’m honest, for me particularly. This past school year we made a choice to move Braden to online schooling for his first year of high school, and it was like jumping into the deep end of a pool without knowing how to swim. There was many times during those nine months that I felt like we were drowning. There were days when my only request was, “God, help me through this day.”
A few days ago, this verse jumped off the pages at me while I was having my quiet time with God. You see, I know that the eyes of the Lord see me, but to know that He is searching for children he can strengthen blew me away. It is on God’s to-do list to search for those who are fully devoted to Him and strengthen them. He knows my heart is His, so He makes it a point to search for me… to search for YOU, and bring strength however we need it.
Today you may need strength physically. The demands of life may have you worn out and left you wondering how you will make it another 24 hours. Today, you may need emotional strength. Your current relationships could be taxing you to the point of depletion. Today you may need spiritual strength. The battles that rage around us require a strength that is not our own. And today… He searches for you, the fully committed, the truly devoted, and longs to fill you with the strength you need for the day.
Lord, my heart is yours. I trust you completely. But, Lord, today I need the strength your word promises you would give. I call out to you today. Refresh me. Strengthen me. Thank you, Lord for being my supply in time of need. Amen.
