Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation
Does this verse really say what I think it says? Is it really possible for God to view me as holy, without blemish, and free from accusation? Even with all the things that I have done wrong in my past? You better believe it! This has got to be one of the coolest passages in scripture. Let me put it another way, since I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I am now identified with Him. So when God looks at me, He sees the holiness of Jesus, not of my past. When He looks at me, He sees the blamelessness of Jesus, not of me. All because I now identify with Jesus as His follower. That truth is so freeing! So today, don’t let the weight of your past keep you from being everything that God is calling you to be. Keep your faith, stay strong and encouraged. No matter what the world tells you, your identity is in Jesus and nothing else!
God, thank you so much for your abundant grace and mercy. You have made me into a new creation and I no longer have to hold on to the weight of my past. Help me to see myself in the way that You see me: as Your child, a masterpiece, a new creation, holy and blameless. And help me to share this truth with those around me so they can experience your love and saving grace.
